Frontline trips
Every month the team spends three days with units near the front: a field kitchen with hot meals and salads, delivered aid, and time to simply be there.
Once a month the team travels east for three days. We cook hot meals and salads in cauldrons right in the field — for many soldiers the first home-cooked food in weeks. Alongside the kitchen we bring humanitarian aid and practical supplies: camouflage nets, fuel canisters, preserves, vacuum-packed food and rations, medicine, tools from shovels to screwdrivers and jacks, generators, and tires. But the most important thing we bring is time and attention: conversation, shared prayer, a piece of home where it is missed most.
